Consuelo Jiménez Underwood is a fiber artist known for her large woven works and installations. Given she is the child of migrant farm laborers, much of her work explores agriculture, indigenous identity, national identities, immigration, and borderlines. Her practice mends and complicates the supposed divisions between craft and fine art. Her work was featured in the NMMA exhibition, Woven: Connections and Meanings.
