John Valadez is a painter, photographer, and muralist. His work often centers around the Chicano experience in Los Angeles, the roles of community and culture, and everyday urban life. The NMMA included his work in a 1990s traveling exhibition, Art of the Other Mexico and hosted his solo exhibition, Santa Ana Condition: John Valadez in 2013.
