Vicky Araico Casas
Vicky Araico Casas is a playwright, performer and movement specialist. After receiving a degree in law from Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City) in 2001, Vicky trained as an actor at Centro Universitario de Teatro, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. In 2009 she completed her MA in Movement Studies at Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and currently works internationally as a movement director. Her solo piece Juana in a Million, which she co-wrote and performs, opened at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving excellent reviews and a Fringe First Award for outstanding new writing. Since then Vicky has performed Juana nearly 100 times in international venues and festivals, including at the National Museum of Mexican Art.
