Arte Contemporáneo Jalisciense

June 19 – September 6, 1998

The Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum showcased these contemporary works of art from the permanent collection of the Museo de las Artes of the University of Guadalajara. The Museo de las Artes was established in 1994 in one of the most historically important buildings of Guadalajar, Jalisco. This turn of the century building contains two murals done in 1934 by Jalisco native José Clemente Orozco (1883-1949). The works of art in this exhibition focused on contemporary artists from this central Mexican state.
