Día de los Muertos Xicágo

October 24, 2026, 3:00 – 8:00 pm Harrison Park

Join us on Saturday, October 24th, as we celebrate Día de los Muertos by transforming the Museum and its surroundings into a beautiful space to remember our departed loved ones. Experience the beauty of this beloved tradition through ofrendas created by community members, live music and performances, art activities, and a stunning illuminated ofrenda projected onto the Museum's exterior. Together, we will honor the memory of our departed loved ones.

Be part of the celebration: We invite families and individuals to participate in Día de Muertos Xicágo by creating ofrendas (altars) in Harrison Park or by sharing a photograph of a departed loved one to be incorporated into the illuminated ofrenda projected outdoors. Please note the following before submitting:

  • The deadline for both ofrenda reservations and photos for the illuminated ofrenda is October 15th at 12:00 pm.
  • Please use an email address you check regularly, as confirmations will be communicated via email.
