El Punto Focal, Nuestra Comunidad Mexicana en Chicago

September 28, 2007 – January 13, 2008

Adalberto Barrios (1924-1976), Miguel Zuno (b.1938), and Antonio Pérez (b.1962) have photo documented the Mexican community in Chicago for over half a century. Working independently, each of the photographers shares a perspective from within this fast growing community, one moment at a time. The focal point of this exhibition is the Mexican community, but the sequence of images that develop and broadens our understanding of a present-day city of immigrants.
