Film Screening: Visita a Nuestros Muertos
Page Tools
All are invited to a free screening of Visita a Nuestros Muertos (Visit Our Dead), a short film that combines dance and movement with poetry, nature, colorful costumes and music. Silvita Diaz Brown, in collaboration with director Alexandra Yasinovsky, created this beautiful film that celebrates the Day of the Dead holiday and honors the lives of those who have passed to the spiritual realm. Dedicated to Brown's mother, the film follows four individuals as they connect and dance with loved ones they have lost. The film culminates in the celebration and joy surrounding death in Mexican culture.
Visiting this year’s Day of the Dead exhibition, Day of the Dead: A Time to Grieve and Remember before the film screening is highly encouraged. See the film trailer here.
