¡No se olvida! :  Remembering the Tlatelolco Massacre

September 21, 2018 – January 20, 2019

This contemporary exhibition conveys some of the history on the 50th anniversary of the tragic night of Tlatelolco. On the night of October 2, 1968 the Mexican military and police killed around 325 students and civilians, and arrested more than 1300 protestors in Mexico City’s Tlatelolco neighborhood. Only ten days before the opening ceremony of the summer Olympics in the same city, the massacre in the Plaza of the Three Cultures was immediately covered up and officially disregarded for decades.
